Auditions - Tuesday May 20

|
Feature film auditions Tuesday, May 20, at 2:00 in the Benbow room (# 060) in UNCG’s Elliott University Center. The room is located on the first floor of the EUC next to the Multicultural Resource Center.
The auditions are for a feature length HDV movie to be shot in Greensboro and Wilmington, NC during early through mid June (approximately a 10-12 day shoot). This is a very low budget production so positions will not be paid, we will provide meals, a credit in the film, copies of the finished piece, all travel to Wilmington, and are willing to edit demo reels for talent after shooting is completed.

Camera, Action TV Show, Raleigh Television Network, public access cable 10 ~ interviews independent film makers, animators, actor’s people in the industry. We follow the interview with one of their shorts or a short that they have been involved with. The show aires 3 to 4 shorts over all. Reminder - Carrboro Film Festival deadline in August
|
|
|
The 3rd annual Carrboro Film Festival is seeking submissions from student filmmakers.
Says Carrboro Film Festival chair Selena Lauterer, “We would like to see as many students submit their films this year as possible, so we’re getting the word out now before (or maybe just as?) they exit the freeway into summer.”
The deadline for submissions is August 29th. Late deadline will be September 22nd.
The only requirements are that the filmmaker at one time in life had a brush with Orange County and that the film is no longer than 20 minutes. Films can originate in any format. The submission must be a DVD or VHS tape.
Submission forms will be posted on www.carrborofilmfestival.com
The film festival will be held on Sunday, November 23rd at the Century Center.

Extras wanted for feature film

EXTRAS WANTED FOR “A GOOD OLD FASHIONED”
Casting representatives are please to announce we are now accepting submissions for extras on the feature film, “A Good Old Fashioned.”
Our open call will be Saturday, May 17th from 11AM to 4PM at The Elks Lodge No. 532, 5102 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
Please be sure to bring a non-returnable photo and a pen or pencil with you!
We are seeking extras willing to work in Wilmington, North Carolina. Our tentative shoot dates are May 27 thru July 2. No experiences necessary and all are encouraged to apply. We are particularly seeking men and women between the ages of 21-55. This is an R rated film no children are necessary. We are only looking for people 18 and older. Anyone interested needs to have reliable transportation to the Wilmington area. Please note any travel and housing expenses incurred will NOT be reimbursed.
Anyone unable to attend the open call can download a submission form at www.rigbycasting.com.

Question for Southeast Filmmakers

Southeast Filmmakers,
We are writing in hopes of getting an interest level for an event we are looking to have sometime in July or August in Charlotte, NC. It will be a Distribution/Financing Seminar with the main speaker being Nick Brondo (Bio below) from Inferno Distribution (http://www.infernodistribution.com/). The event will last three hours (2 hours seminar/1 hour networking party) and cost $125 per person.

Music Score Needed for Independent Film

Venture Productions is in the process of wrapping up production work on the film Ultimate Case. We need a quality and cusom music score by a talented and inspired musician. We are looking for original music timed to fit our opening sequence and credit roll, but music in the body of the film would be welcome at the discretion of the musician. We can not offer direct payment, but will provide screen credit, a copy of the finished DVD, and the opportunity to post information in the talent files.

Model Designer Makup Artist Puppeteer Needed for Gothic Horror Film
|

We are in the pre-production phase of a gothic horror science fiction film called "The Project." For this movie we will need to creat an alien creature that will probably look like a cross between ET, the original Martian from War of the Worlds, and Roger from American Dad. The artist will have creative input into the final form of the creature, but it must look both realistic and frightening. It lives within a containment facility, has no direct speaking roles, and only really has to move its hands. We are thinking animatronics, cg, and/or puppetry to make this happen, but we are open to multiple approaches.
