Southeast Filmmakers,
We are writing in hopes of getting an interest level for an event we are looking to have sometime in July or August in Charlotte, NC. It will be a Distribution/Financing Seminar with the main speaker being Nick Brondo (Bio below) from Inferno Distribution (http://www.infernodistribution.com/). The event will last three hours (2 hours seminar/1 hour networking party) and cost $125 per person.
If this is something you might be interested in attending let us know through email at (info@newdaydreamfilms.com) . If the interest is high enough we will move forward and post some details on to register along with the when and where. Thanks a lot.

Cinematographer Available with Gear!

Intuition, creativity and a talent for the craft of visual storytelling are the ingredients I employ to the images I create. Ten years in the industry and a award winning Director of Photography / Camera Operator, plus a talented Director, Editor, Producer, and Production Manager.
I am looking for projects to be apart of. I am mostly looking for paid projects or projects that are willing to rent equipment and I will donate my time, but willing to take on non-paid projects so long as I get some creative control and some ownership in the project.

Music Score Needed for Independent Film
Venture Productions is in the process of wrapping up production work on the film Ultimate Case. We need a quality and cusom music score by a talented and inspired musician. We are looking for original music timed to fit our opening sequence and credit roll, but music in the body of the film would be welcome at the discretion of the musician. We can not offer direct payment, but will provide screen credit, a copy of the finished DVD, and the opportunity to post information in the talent files.
Please email me at pjoseph@ncventure.com if you are interested. Turnaround time should be within 30 days.

Model Designer Makup Artist Puppeteer Needed for Gothic Horror Film
We are in the pre-production phase of a gothic horror science fiction film called "The Project." For this movie we will need to creat an alien creature that will probably look like a cross between ET, the original Martian from War of the Worlds, and Roger from American Dad. The artist will have creative input into the final form of the creature, but it must look both realistic and frightening. It lives within a containment facility, has no direct speaking roles, and only really has to move its hands. We are thinking animatronics, cg, and/or puppetry to make this happen, but we are open to multiple approaches.
If you would like to give this a try, please contact us through out website www.ncventure.com/theproject
We can not offer direct payment, but will provide a screen credit, a copy of the finished DVD, and the ability to post information in the talent files.

Registration opens for the Greensboro 48 Hour Film Project
How would you like to stay up for two days straight as a volunteer in a creative scramble to come up with a short film in a specific genre, with the promise of a few prizes and undying adulation of your fellow filmmakers?
The whole thing will only cost you $135, a few nights of sleep and some of your sanity. It's time again for the Greensboro 48 Hour Film Project. Each team draws a random genre at the kick off on June 20, at the Green Street Club. It then has 48 hours to creat a short film, from script to screen. The catch? Each film must incorporate a set number of elements, a character, prop and line of dialogue.
For more info go to www.48hourfilm.com/greensboro.

The Future of Filmmaking in NC on SECOND CINEMA
Tune in to May's episode of SECOND CINEMA on Time Warner Cable throughout North Carolina. Host Hilary Russo had a chance to sit down with NC Film Office Director Aaron Syrett who shared a lot of great information about the film industry of North Carolina, what you can do to help make it better and what the NC Film Office has planned to market North Carolina for future projects. It was a great interview and definitely beneficial to anyone on either side of the camera in the NC Film industry.
